My Makeup Favorites

This month I thought I’d share three  of my makeup favorites with you all! I have a few products I swear by that I’ll list out in this, so hope you find something in here that you like!

1.

My life changing makeup item was the Too Faced, Born This Way sculpting concealer. It is the perfect concealer to use if you don’t want to pair it with foundation and just want to do a quick touch up to your face. I was able to shade-match really well to my skin tone so I can directly apply, and its slightly heavier consistency covers up the darker circles underneath my eyes (which is what I really needed it to do).

I also apply the concealer to my eyelids (a pro-tip from the girl working at Sephora who told me about it) and it evens out my eye area so much and can even act as a sudo-eyeshadow in a pinch. (Though I always like to set it with a real eyeshadow).

2.

The Elf Liquid Camo Blush was recently released as a dupe for the Rare Beauty Liquid Blush and boy does it deliver. Only one dot of the blush on your face adds an insane amount of pigment. At $7 it was well worth it for me to try out two of the shades, Berry Well and Pinky Promise. Pinky Promise is a lighter shade which I can usually apply just a smidge more of (one dot instead of the half-dot needed for Berry Well).

I like to blend it all out with a beauty blender (and of course, even though it’s not necessary, lightly set it with a powder blush as well- Wet n Wild Blush in shade Mellow Wine).

3.

My next favorite is my current lip combo (so kind of a three in one). These days I start with the EOS Sunset Sips Lip Butter (in Pink Lemonade). I got this from the Target advent Beauty Calendar and have been using it ever since.

If I had to recommend just one lip product though, I’d choose the Elf Glow Reviver Lip Oil. I have shade Rose Envy but if I’m being honest that shade doesn’t really show up on my lips, it mostly just acts as just a moisturizing gloss, but it really delivers on the gloss. I love the shine it gives without feeling overly sticky or tacky. If you’re in the market for a good lip gloss type product, I would highly recommend this.

My last layer is the Nyx Lip Butter in the shade Rocky Road and this is what actually adds some color to my lips. It’s a really pigmented lip gloss and the color shows through really well.

I would also like to add a bonus lip product which is my all-time favorite lipstick that I truly believe is my perfect shade which is the Mac Bullet in shade Marrakesh-Mere. It’s a matte lipstick but I quickly turn it glossy whenever I want by adding the Elf Glow Reviver Lip Oil on top of it.

Those are the three (though technically 5) products I wanted to talk about in this post! I’m still trying to find my favorite mascara (I had the Macstack which I loved and then tried one of the Elf ones which is nice but not entirely a dupe) so if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear it. I’m hoping to make a follow up of this once I have a few more favorites finalized.

Or maybe just a separate list for skincare and fashion? Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for reading!
