What's In My Go-Bag?
What is a go-bag? It’s my mini purse that I move with me whenever I change purses and holds all my essentials.
I have a lot of cute purses but found that I wasn’t using them as often because it was such a pain to remember to move everything from one to the other, so I took a small 4 by 6 inch pouch and put all my essentials inside and I now just move that from purse to purse.
So what do I keep in my go-bag? It’s been a growing list but I prefer it that way to cover most of those “just-in-case” situations.
- Small ID Wallet: this holds my ID, 2 credit cards and whatever cash I keep on me. It is small and compact and since it’s open I can easily slide my card in and out.
- Keys
- Compact Mirror
- 2-3 Hair ties
- A few bobby pins
- A few safety pins
- 2-3 Band-aids
- Coins
- A nail file (I have long nails and they do be chipping)
- A sanitizing wipe
- A pen
- A small notepad
- Travel Perfume (those containers you can re-fill with perfume)
- Like 3 lip products (a gloss, a lipstick, and a liner)
- Hand Cream
Notable Mentions:
I always have hand sanitizer clipped to the outside of my purse in a little holder, along with chapstick. Since I reach for those items the most often, it’s easier to keep them outside.
I also have an extra pad in every purse in case I or someone else needs one.
My headphones tend to move with me as well but I don’t keep them in my go bag. (I’m sure if I removed a lip product they would fit.)
I also tend to keep extra napkins in my purses as well. I don’t have them in my go-bag, but it’s easy to re-stock them so I’m not too worried about it.
If possible, I try to fit a candy, lollipop, gum, etc. in my purse as well cause you never know when you need a quick sugar boost.
And last but not least, I try to keep a USB to USB-C Charger cord in my purse as well. (Easier to find a USB outlet than it is to get a cord, so I prioritize the cord.)
-.-
I love my go-bag and I really do find that I use more of my purses now because it’s easy enough to switch them. It also has the right amount of things to make me feel prepared for most things that might come my way.
I hope this was helpful and if you feel inspired to make your own go-bag, please let me know! Thanks for reading! See you next month!
